Moonshine Mountains Weddings, Elopements & Event Policies
Our goal at Moonshine Mountain is to provide couples and guests with an iconic, memorable, experience, at a fair and transparent price. We offer the use of our venue, with respect being the only thing we ask in return. To our guests, Moonshine is a venue. To us, it's home. We've poured our hearts and souls into this property long before the thought of sharing it with the world ever crossed our minds.
Our friends that join us up on the Mountain do so because their souls long for a peaceful, refreshing, intimate experience. They're here to enjoy the company of family and friends, to embrace disconnect from a busy urban life, to build campfires, and have conversations about life- set to a mountain sky full of stars.
We don't have a lot of rules. We think people should be free to enjoy themselves. The small restrictions we do impose upon our guests are to keep our neighbors happy and to maintain the authentic Colorado atmosphere that embodies life here at Moonshine.
We've outlined our small set of rules below, along with answers to some of the questions most asked by couples and guests hosting events at the venue.
Restrictions + F.A.Q.
♥ Can we host our wedding rehearsal at Moonshine Mountain?
Of course you can! Just let us know you'd like to reserve the venue the day before your wedding as well. We charge a flat rate fee of $350- which covers up to 4 hours on-site! Plenty of time to meet with family and friends, grab a bite to eat, run through equipment checks and rehearse your ceremony!
♥ How much time do we get with our wedding reservation?
Our number one goal here at Moonshine Mountain is to make sure couples have enough time to enjoy family, friends and being in love. We never want you to feel rushed! That's why our reservations include use of the venue from 7:00am until 10:00pm (with music off at 9:00pm).
♥ Are there any noise restrictions up on the mountain?
We understand that weddings, elopements, and events, in general, are a reason for celebration, joy, dancing, and letting loose! One of the benefits of getting married out in the middle of nowhere is that you can let the speakers blast for a bit! We encourage our guests to have a great time- At the same time, we didn't intend for Moonshine Mountain to be a music festival venue. We've got a few neighbors tucked away down some of these dirt roads- and we work hard to offer a peaceful, serene, authentic Colorado experience, that aligns with state laws regarding noise. https://www.nonoise.org/lawlib/states/colorado/colorado.htm
-
Noise levels shouldn't exceed 60db
-
Speakers off at 9pm
♥ Do couples really get a free stay in the on-site cottage?
Yes! We know that planning a wedding is exhausting. When your special day is all wrapped up, the last thing you want to do is drive! We offer our couples a complimentary night stay in our cozy studio cottage until noon the next day. Just let us know you'd like us to reserve the cottage at the time of your wedding/elopement booking. We'll have it cleaned up, sanitized and fully stocked for your arrival.
